Judges Needed For Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The Alamo Junior Academy of Science and the Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair are looking for judges. 

This is a great opportunity for community service. Last year, several high school students mentored by Dr. Sunil Ahuja‚Äôs laboratory won at the Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

The Alamo Junior Academy of Science will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at Robert E. Lee High School. The judging schedule is:


7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Judges Check-In and Breakfast 

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Orientation and Room Assignments 

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Student Oral Presentations 

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Reading & Evaluation of Papers 

Check-Out Before 1:30 p.m.

Lunch 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Blue Ribbon Team Judging 


The Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at St. Mary's University. The judging schedule is:


7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Judges Check-In and Breakfast

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Judges Orientation

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Judging

11:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. Lunch

3:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Blue Team Check-In

3:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Blue Team Briefing

4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Blue Team Judging
