Dr. Jean Jiang's research focuses on understanding the molecular
mechanism of intercellular and intracellular signaling mediated by connexin
channels and the functional importance of these channels in the lens, skeletal
tissues and cancer metastasis. Various biochemical, molecular, cellular and genetic approaches as well as cell and transgenic mouse models are established to address these questions.
